William Arnot (1808–1875) was a Scottish preacher and writer. His devotional style is seen at its best here; the 105 short expositions of the key events and themes in the Book of  Acts were intended for family reading on Sundays. Even now, this remains pleasurable and satisfying reading as he always draws something unique from the most unlikely sources. Preachers have always delighted in Arnot’s style, coming as it does from an age of deeper reflection and thought.
