Publishers Description

This world is divided into two groups- those who know God and those who do not. Though there are many other differences between people, this is the greatest. To be ignorant of God has a profound influence on the way we think, work, and live our entire life; more still, on the way we die and what will happen to us after death. Maurice Roberts calls us to give our most serious attention to this vital issue. Plainly and clearly he explains the Bible's teaching about the importance of being saved, life after death, heaven and hell, and knowing what to believe. Chapter headings include: • What does it mean to be saved? • How 'good' must we be? • Are we not all God's children? • Who can give us a righteousness? • Is there life after death? • How can we be sure what to believe? • Can we be sure we are saved? • What do Christ and the apostles teach about hell? • What do Christ and the apostles teach about heaven? "For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea" (Hab. 2:14). MAURICE ROBERTS is the Minister of the Inverness congregation of the Free Church of Scotland (Continuing). He is well-known as a conference speaker in many countries around the world and was the Editor of the monthly magazine The Banner of Truth from 1988 to 2003.

Excellent! I've long sought for an evangelistic writing that addresses the unchurched mind and is not filled with a bunch of biblical terminology that assumes the reader knows. I'm not suggesting for a moment that it's void of biblical content - it's very rich in that, however, Roberts craftily builds his case in compelling ways that can be understood by anyone that can read and reason. Great tool for the body of Christ!
