The author desires to remind us of the connection between experimental and practical religion with special reference to the welfare of young Christians.

The author of this small volume has for some time past been convinced that the subject of which it treats, is, even by a certain class of pious people, misunderstood and neglected. He feels desirous, therefore, of calling their attention to first principles, and of reminding them of the connexion between experimental and practical religion; with a special reference, however, to the welfare of young Christians.
